After taking painting lessons for several years, Soudabeh Majidi began her work in traditional painting through still life compositions, as well as landscapes and portraits. Following these explorations she enrolled in OCAD where she was exposed to several different disciplines in art such as print making and three dimensional designs. Soudabeh graduated in painting and drawing in 1997, still considering herself a student in the field of the visual arts. At present she is experimenting with different materials to create texture and variety in her paintings. Such experiments are resulting in an increasingly dynamic approach to portraits, still life and landscapes that she so enjoys creating.
